Why it's important to be an informed consumer when buying CBD products

The CBD industry is brand new, and with any new industry it is important as a consumer to know what questions to ask in order to buy the best, most therapeutic products. Because there are currently no regulations on retail CBD products, there is, quite frankly, a lot of junk out there. The good news is there are also a lot of companies doing the things the right way and providing quality products to their customers. Here's what we consider the most important question to ask a seller before buying.

Are the products tested by an accredited 3rd-party lab? Proper testing should include potency of cannabinoids and terpenes as well as testing for residual solvents, microbials, pesticides and heavy metals. Your seller should be able to show you and explain to you the testing for each product they sell.

This is why I tell everyone not to buy CBD from the gas station or anywhere else that the seller has no knowledge about the product. In the best case scenario it may not contain any CBD at all. In the worst case it could be contaminated with pesticides, solvents or heavy metals.

ated with pesticides or solvents.
